Connections:
Conection to Literacy:
When I read this story, it reminded me of the book called "In a Heartbeat" by: Loretta Ellsworth. I made this connection because in Charlie St. Cloud, Whe Charlie and Sam die, Florio shocks Charlie back to life. At Sam's funeral, Charlie discovers that he was granted the gift of being able to see and interact with Sam. In the book, "In a Heartbeat" Amelia needa a heart transplant and Eagan was just in a tragic accident, figure skating, (just like the car crash in Charlie St. Cloud) and gives her "still-beating" heart to Amelia.
Connection to the world:
One of the main themes of this book is "Use the gifts that God hads blessed you with" And the theme at school this year is "Building the kindgom with our gifts!"
